Racing

Sled dog racing is one of the most demanding endurance sports in the world.
Paws of Björnlund is a dedicated breeding and training kennel for competitive Alaskan huskies. Our focus is not on short-term results, but on building a strong, healthy and reliable team over years of consistent training. Every season is part of a bigger process: developing the dogs physically and mentally, gaining experience in longer distances and preparing step by step for more demanding races. Our long-term goal is to compete in races like the Finnmarksløpet 1200 – one of the toughest sled dog races in the world. Reaching that level takes time. Realistically, it’s a journey of about 10 years of continuous training, racing and learning. That’s what our daily work is built around.
