New Year’s Eve 2026/27
29.12.2026-04.01.2027
Celebrate the turn of the year gliding across the snow on a dog sled in the heart of Swedish Lapland!
Between the years, immerse yourself in the profound stillness of the remote, snow-covered winter landscape, marvel at the unique play of light from the low winter sun during the solstice, and listen to the melodic voices of the huskies as they often echo at twilight. With a bit of luck, witness the mystical veils of the dancing northern lights against a star-studded night sky.
Day 1 – Arrival
Step into the heart of winter as you arrive at your cozy guesthouse, where the snow-covered landscape lies silent beyond the windows. Join us for a warm, hearty dinner, and let the starry sky welcome you into this magical world.
Day 2 – Kennel Visit & Husky Trekking
Start your day with breakfast before visiting the kennel, where you’ll be greeted by joyful howls. Cuddle and stroke the huskies, admire their boundless energy, and capture the moment with your camera. Listen to stories about life on the sled dog farm, their training, and the thrilling sport that connects humans and huskies in this Arctic wilderness. After a light lunch, embark on a Husky Trekking adventure. Choose your loyal companion, strap on your waist harness, and set out through silent, snow-covered forests and across frozen streams. Feel the huskies’ warm breath and the quiet power of the Nordic landscape around you. In the evening, gather around an open fire in the mountain grill hut and enjoy a rustic dinner under the dark winter sky—an intense, unforgettable experience.
Day 3 – Sled Dog Ride & New Year’s Eve Celebration
After breakfast, set off on a sled dog ride through winding forest trails and boggy landscapes. Decide whether you want to drive the sled yourself or simply enjoy the rhythm of the ride with your companion. Cover 15 km of untouched snow, surrounded by frost-glittering pines. After a light lunch and some free time, prepare for a magical New Year’s Eve: a three-course dinner, laughter, and hopefully the very special Arctic fireworks—the dancing northern lights overhead.
Day 4 – New Year’s Day
Wake to a slow, peaceful morning with a late New Year’s breakfast. The day is yours to explore the snowy surroundings, enjoy hot coffee, and breathe in the crisp, frosty air. Snacks and drinks are available throughout the day, allowing you to linger in the warmth of the guesthouse before an early, comforting dinner concludes the day.
Day 5 – Snowshoe Adventure
After breakfast, venture into the silent winter landscape on snowshoes. Choose your pace and route according to your fitness, feeling the crisp crunch of fresh snow beneath your feet. Following the hike, enjoy a farm-style lunch by the open fire and spend the afternoon at leisure, watching the winter light play across the frozen landscape. In the evening, a hearty dinner awaits.
Day 6 – Reindeer Visit
Start the day with breakfast before visiting the gentle reindeer, wandering through snow-dusted forests. Learn about the life and traditions of the Sami people, and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch. Spend the afternoon at leisure, soaking in the peaceful winter landscape before a final cozy dinner at the guesthouse.
Day 7 – Departure
